O-1 Agent Petition: When One U.S. Agent Can Cover Multiple Projects

O-1 Agent Petition: When One U.S. Agent Can Cover Multiple Projects

O-1 cases often involve artists, founders, athletes, researchers, and consultants who do not work for one traditional employer. A U.S. agent petition can sometimes organize multiple projects under one filing, but it must still show real work, real dates, and a lawful petitioner relationship.

The record should include contracts, deal memos, letters from employers or venues, a practical itinerary, consultation or advisory opinion evidence when required, and proof that the beneficiary meets the O-1 standard in the field.

An agent petition is not the same as self-petitioning. USCIS still expects a U.S. petitioner and a clear explanation of who is authorized to act for the employers or the beneficiary. Vague project lists and missing contracts can trigger RFEs.

New Horizons Legal helps O-1 clients build agent-based petitions that match how creative and high-skill work actually happens.

Immigration consultations available, subject to attorney review.
