T Visa for Trafficking Survivors: Evidence That Can Support the Case

T Visa for Trafficking Survivors: Evidence That Can Support the Case

A T visa may help certain survivors of severe human trafficking stay in the United States and rebuild safety. These cases require careful preparation because trafficking can involve force, fraud, coercion, debt, threats, isolation, document control, or work and living conditions that were not freely chosen.

The evidence does not have to come from one perfect document. Helpful records may include personal declarations, messages, pay records, housing records, medical or counseling records, law enforcement contacts, advocate letters, photos, travel records, and documents showing threats or control.

Some applicants must show that they complied with reasonable law enforcement requests, unless an exception applies. That issue should be reviewed carefully before filing, especially when the survivor is afraid, traumatized, young, or still facing safety risks.

Before preparing a T visa case, organize the timeline, identity records, trafficking evidence, immigration history, and safety concerns. New Horizons Legal helps trafficking survivors evaluate T visa options with care, confidentiality, and attention to long-term stability.

Immigration consultations available, subject to attorney review.
